Would you look at that, it’s Easter again which means that exams are eminent. It also means I haven’t had a minute to think or contemplate which I regularly do. I was going to say ‘sit’ but then that would be a lie as I’m constantly sitting and growing fat. Let’s take the time of Easter not to celebrate about Jesus but to celebrate that I have completed one of my ICT assignments. I never would have thought it, but yes, I do need nearly two weeks to recover from the pain of doing it.
I spent three consecutive nights doing my ICT assignment trying desperately to get it done. Doing parts of it that should have been finished about a month ago. Monday night I had to go in for school interviews and that night I was up till one am finishing the assignment. Tuesday I had to come back into school to help out with the school concert and during that, we were snowed in so my dad was late. Upon coming into the car park which was filling with water from the rain, it appeared that he had changed the Clio to a white snow mobile. I eventually got home at ten pm and had to get ready for the next day. Wednesday, and I was off to Dublin for a history trip. We had to meet up at the school at eight am which isn’t my forte as I had to get up at six thirty. We went to Dublin, walked around an awful lot in the chilling wind though by judging by the skies it looked more like summer, and at the time I wish it was. Did a few tours and came back home, by that time everyone on the bus home was asleep, including one of the teachers. Thursday, and everyone is off school and you would have thought that I would of gotten a lie in but the ‘fun’ just doesn’t stop. In preparation for the ‘big day’ on Friday and seeing that it has been over eight months since I last got my hair cut, I decided to bite my lip and go for it. Unfortunately, I don’t think she cut enough off which means having to go for a second cut earlier that what is intended. Friday, the ‘big day’. Though you may not think that going to the Grand Opera House to see Rocky Horror is a big deal, but to me, who doesn’t get out an awful lot and a show that I’ve been waiting for years to see, it was a really big deal. Last time it hit the Grand Opera House, I was about 9 or 10 and obviously I wasn’t allowed to go. Back then I couldn’t fathom why but upon watching the show on Friday night, I can completely understand why I wasn’t allowed. Even though seven years older, I was still slightly shocked at the..the...perversion of the ‘bed’ scenes. You thought the film was raunchy? Try watching Frank (David Bedella) in bed with Janet. I swear, your eyes will pop out of their sockets. Why was I ever intrigued by such as thing when I was 10 to go and see it, I just don’t understand, because in just seven years... sorry Frankly I’m obsessed by such a thing. Before I go on about it, let’s change subjects.
(NOTE: If you understand the words in bold, you are a true Rocky fan like myself. If not, you need to watch the film...over and over and over again.)
Moving swiftly on (just like Frankie’s ‘garments’ on stage), I would like to conclude that I have not had to time to talk to you, my fellow admirers and followers of the works of art that I post on a monthly basis, previously on a weekly basis. I hope you can understand why. It isn’t just the blog that is falling apart, so is my face... I mean my actual journal. These nights, I’m just too tired to do anything (and some people could tell you that first hand) So tired I am, I just flop into bed and fall asleep. Not even time to read or watch TV. So my humble apologies, I know some people look forward to my blog posts and I must also take the time to apologise to myself and one way to do that, is by eating. So farewell my possums until next time.
P.S Sorry about the last few paragraphs, but Barry Humphries decided to turn up in my head and forced me to write such stuff. He’s a legend and an inspiration. Go watch him on Youtube. Oh yes, and I was busy yesterday (Sunday) and on Saturday. Sorry, but I was out sailing with a Board of Governor on Saturday and on Sunday I was cleaning my room of fluff. How very posh indeed.
