Start of the year...not so good

As usual, new year’s resolutions never quite work out and along the way you seem to change them bit by bit throughout the year in the hope that it might be achieved. However, by the end of the year, the resolution is completely distorted of its original intention, and thus you promise that you’ll do it the next year. The cycle follows for the rest of your life. Sometimes these resolutions do work for some people and for others it’s a chore that never gets done.
For me, it’s a chore and just another one those fads that unfortunately capitalism has taken over and has made it ‘compulsory’. I’m surprised you don’t see “Good Luck on your New Year’s Resolution” cards in Clintons or Birthdays. Yes, I did say compulsory because either way if you tell someone that you do have resolutions you’re looked upon mad and on the other hand if you said you didn’t you’re still bonkers because you’re not ‘conforming’.

I’m still not off the laptop and I doubt if I measured again, there’s any less time spent on the obsession with handy information and readily available music and videos from YouTube. It’s quite simple, if I hear something I’ve never heard about such as a new word (how boring of me), I’d go on Wikipedia, jot it in and hit the search button and soon enough (few hours down the line) I’ve ended up looking at the history of jam making. Afterwards, I’d type it into YouTube and watch a video on some south American making jam then after a few hours finding myself watching a video on some obese person jumping from their house roof onto a trampoline. Yes, I am that sad.

In other news lately, I NEED a haircut and lots of suggestions are welcome. I have actually been considering shaving all my hair off and doing a Britney, but then no one would want to sit next to me in case I start crying uncontrollably...there’s no change there then. In fact, because of my obsession with the 80’s is at its peak, I’ve considered going for the Mike Score look or for those people who don’t know who he is, think of La Roux’s hair, and then invert it so the middle bit is going down...there we go. So yes, all suggestions welcome.
Blogging has also made a drop and it’s been over a month now that I haven’t had a post. I’m sure you all frankly don’t care and haven’t realised, that yes, the blog is slightly different due to a change of e-mail which meant I had to re-organise things as it reverted back to default.

What more can I say? I’m a very boring person that needs to get out more or at all.

I’ve signed up for Duke of Ed, bought some Alan Bennett books, I’ve promised myself to make time to do hockey training nights again after my temporary retirement, the mouse was back and it chewed my schoolbag to pieces, I’ve got several assignments to do, I’m doing driving lessons, I need to get more early nights, I’m still writing every day, I’m still confused about a career path and we’re going to be doing UCAS forms in a few months time and I doubt I’m even mature enough to cope at university level...yet.
Somehow, I find the time to watch Roxy Music videos and episodes of ‘Have I Got News For You’ from the early 90’s.

Maybe I should have a specific subject for my blog instead of complaining constantly about my life and what nonsense I do that no one really cares about. Thanks for reading anyway.
P.S, I have found a card that states something about new year’s Resolutions! I’ll have to burn Clintons down now.
